[november 8]
I really wish time would just stop for a while. These past months have flown by! This has to be the fastest half year I've ever had. Mannix is already 6 months old and I can not believe it. Obviously I always say that I'm going to keep up with my blog and post all the time..I have come to the conclusion that I probably wont keep up with it as much as I want. Why? Because I really don't ever know what to type! haha I'm sure all of you already know that :o)
I have fallen in love with Mannix and I don't ever want to let him go. He is my world! I can't imagine life without my precious baby boy. Today he hit another milestone, sitting up completely on his own for more than 5 minutes! So yeah, I'll say its official. I'm obsessed with my little Doodoo and every little thing he does. Always there with my camera in hand ready to take a picture of every move he makes! Right now as I type I can hear Isidro praising him for learning how to switch the lights on and off while he holds him up to it :) "alright dude!" From the corner of my eye I see it flick on and off on and off. haha Guess what else? Mannix got his second tooth October 26th and its catching up to his first already! I don't know if his third tooth will cut tomorrow morning because he has been chewing on everything today, who knows maybe his two teeth are itching him right now.
Mannix had experienced his first Halloween this year! Let me tell you..we spend quite a bit of money on his first costume and he wore it for maybe 30 minutes total. We live in South Texas and the inside of that costume is lined with some idk? shiny fabric that seemed pretty warm and yes, it was. Mannix was hot and sweating..he just wanted to get that thing off :( I managed to get 3 or so good pictures of him but yeah, thats how the first costume went haha. We spent the evening with Isidro's family they had pizza and wings, we watched movies and handed out candies to kids. It was the perfect way to spend the night :) I'm sure next year will be a little more exciting since he will be a year and a half and he can actually get to go trick or treating.
I have been thinking alot about this coming Christmas and am not 100% sure what we will be doing. I know that my instinct as a first time mother is to splurge on toys for Mannix. But lets face it, babies don't NEED a bunch of toys. I think this year I will buy him Peek-a-Blocks, a Munchkin Fresh Food Feeder, Spoons, a Mozart Cube and MAYBE some baby legs that's if I don't make them on my own. I'm sure that he will get plenty of gifts from family members since this is his first Christmas. I just don't want to go overboard and spend money that we could use on something more beneficial. Angela, I can't wait to see that amigurumi!! :D
